Does the drug versed cause permanent anterograde amnesia?

I had an egd woke up at my house not remembering anyting about the procedure this was a good thing but I have a super memory and im now finding forming new memories or remembering what i did this day kinda fuzzy is this forever?Does the drug versed cause permanent anterograde amnesia?
I don't know what you mean by permanent, but yes. You will not remember any of the events that occur while on versed, and many times will have amnesia for the moments immediately before or after receiving the dose. The amnesia will be permanent, but you'll only lose a sliver of time. As far as I know, there are no long lasting amnesic events.

How can i find people with Anterograde amnesia?

Is there a way to find people with this illness? I mean it would be pretty fun to meet a guy with it. We could be best buddies in the morning then beat the hell out of each other in the evening and be best buddies again in the next morning. The more i think about meeting someone with it the more i think it would be fun. I could tell him a joke that keeps him laughing for like a minute and half a minute later when he is still laughing he has forgotten the joke and then i tell it again and again for 2 hours. How can i find people with Anterograde amnesia?
That's sad that people have that I think this whole thing is a joke and you should be ashamed of yourself!!! If you were even remotely serious I would give a serious answer. I don't think theres anyway to "hook up" with people that suffer from chronic memory loss in less you went to hospitals that had people like that or look on dating websites for people with disabilities. Anyway this sounds like you are patronizing those less fortunate than you.

Whats it like as a day in the life process of someone who is victim of Anterograde Amnesia?

I was just wondering if anyone out there knew someone, and could shed some light on the subject for me. All the videos online weren't exactly enough to suppress my curiosity.Whats it like as a day in the life process of someone who is victim of Anterograde Amnesia?
Have you ever seen "Finding Nemo"?

Dory has the same problem.

so, I think it would be like that.

"A boat?! Hey! I saw a boat. It passed by not to long ago. Come on follow me."

"Why are you following me? A boat?! Oh yeah I saw a boat. It passed by not to long ago.

Come on follow me."

"Why are you following me?"

Like that.Whats it like as a day in the life process of someone who is victim of Anterograde Amnesia?
My father who is 101 y/o has it right now . I suspect he has had a brain injury. You can tell him something but he will forget it in the next moment. The really neat thing is,if someone teaches him something today he will have no memory of it but will preform the task. I think it is mostly the hippocampus that is responsible. There are 3 major areas responsible . At his age he just goes with the flow. I suspect it might be frustrating to a younger person.

Is there any medical evidence that during anterograde amnesia, memories can be remembered in dreams?

In the movie "50 First Dates", Drew Barrymore painted pictures of Adam Sandler because he was in her dreams, but she otherwise had no remembrance of him. Is this possible? Is there any medical evidence that during anterograde amnesia, memories can be remembered in dreams?
Decide urself, to me only dead mind can be incapable to see a dream

Um, you can't really - because symptoms vary - i.e. MOST people with anterograde amnesia still respond to conditioning; so someone faking it might not - but then that might be due to a separate problem in the brain. And MOST people retain motor skills with retrograde amnesia. But not necassarily all (i.e. there was a case where the suspected a student of faking because he'd forgotten how to ride a bike and swim; but they couldn't prove anything). How would u be able to tell if a person was faking anterograde amnesia? retrograde amnesia?
Having had a moderate to sevre brain injury for the past 20 years I concur with this answer

I'm still leaerning the dynamics of my brains ability to think as opposed to my minds ability to remember

the above distinction was conjured after reading "Operation Manual for Spaceship Earth

What formal tests and scans are recommended for confirming/dis-confirming anterograde amnesia?

If a patient shows symptoms of anterograde amnesia which neuropsychological assessments and imaging techniques would be recommended in order to confirm or dis-confirm whether a patient is diagnosed? What formal tests and scans are recommended for confirming/dis-confirming anterograde amnesia?
Anterograde amnesia, also known as fixation amnesia, is the inability to remember or recognize new information or new events that occurred after the amnesia鈥檚 onset. Retrograde amnesia, also known as evocation amnesia, is the inability to remember or recognize information or events that occurred prior to onset.

The Hanoi Towers Problem is one of the tests used to assess a patient cognitive abilities after the operation that caused his/her amnesia. Contrary to the image that many people have of memory as a vast collection of archived data, most of our memories are actually reconstructions. They are not stored in our brains like books on library shelves. Whenever we want to remember something, we have to reconstruct it from elements scattered throughout various areas of our brains.
