Dissociative Identity Disorder?

Is it possible to have DID without the amnesia? I know someone who frequently changes moods, and as she does, her character changes too. Sometimes with different types of style of clothing, different opinions, and different fears. She doesn't have amnesia though. She remembers vaguely what happened, but says she has emotional amnesia, and cannot remember what she was feeling.Dissociative Identity Disorder?
I would say she doesn't have true DID if she has any memory of what she says and does when in an altered state. The point of a brain developing DID is to protect the self from trauma by simply "not being there". In an extreme form, the person takes on an entirely different personality, name, likes and dislikes. In more mild forms, the person may simply "zone out" or, in your acquaintance's case, put on a different persona while protecting her original self.
