I am confused with my psychology homework?

I am taking my psychology abnormal class. I do not understand this question. It has 4 muti choices on each questions. I have 50 questions, but I couldn't figure out 6 questions out of 50. I put it down here as well. Can you help me?

1 = The assumption behind the use of projective tests as assessment tools is that:

A) they are relatively easy to score.

B) the responses come from the client's unconscious.

C) they stimulate abnormal behaviors that the clinician can observe.

D) patient responses to specific stimuli will uncover specific disorders.

2 = Which of the following patients is most likely to benefit most from psychoanalytic treatment?

A) a person who needs to make profound behavioral changes very quickly

B) a person who has difficulty expressing ideas and feelings verbally

C) someone who is insightful and thinks clearly

D) someone who is severely disturbed and in a mental hospital

3 = One distinction that DSM-IV-TR makes between acute stress disorder and posttraumatic

stress disorder is based on:

A) how intense the anxiety-linked symptoms are.

B) what the cause of the anxiety-linked symptoms was.

C) how long the anxiety symptoms last.

4 = A person, years after committing a serious crime, is found living under a false identity over 1,000 miles from where the person used to live. The person's memory of the crime, and of other earlier events, is intact. Most likely this is a case of:

A) dissociative fugue.

B) dissociative amnesia.

C) dissociative identity (multiple personality) disorder.

D) no mental disorder.

5 = 16. A woman who has just given birth is anxious, has trouble sleeping, and feels sad. These symptoms diminish in the next couple of weeks. What she has experienced is most likely:

A) the “baby blues,” something experienced by over half of new mothers.

B) the “baby blues,” something experienced by under half of new mothers.

C) postpartum depression, something experienced by over half of new mothers.

D) postpartum depression, something experienced by under half of new mothers.

6 = Second-generation antidepressants:

A) are significantly more effective than tricyclics.

B) are easier to overdose on than tricyclics.

C) produce fewer unpleasant side effects than tricyclics.

D) are less often prescribed than tricyclics.I am confused with my psychology homework?
This is what I came up with; the links below will validate my answers. The fourth one though, about the false identity, that cannot be a fugue because of the crime committed; that person is hiding from the law.

D According to the article in the first link.

C Again, in the 2nd link, insightful people seem most desired.

C A.A.D is simply PTSD for a shorter duration.

D not a fugue because this person is hiding from the law.

C Actually, more like 80% of post-birth mothers. (4th link)

C Less side effects and not nearly as lethal (5th link)

I am a psych major btw, a junior, taking Theory of Personalities, Social Psych, and Developmental Psych right now. Also have had lab, a class in Behavioral Psych, and am 25 credits away from a degree in Clinical Psychology.
2 - would be b or c, because someone would benefit from psychoanalysis, understanding better the way they're made and what's affecting them if they are not suffering from mental disorders that color their perception. My guess would be b, because someone who's insightful wouldn't need to discover those things about themself as someone who has a difficulty expressing and being in touch with feelings would.

3 - B for ptsd there has to be an event or series of events

4 - d - each of the first three answers would suggest that the person would NOT remember the crime and other events

5 - a. ppd in c and d lasts beyond 2 weeks, and baby blues which are short lived is very common...over half....ppd is slightly less common, but I'm not sure if it falls over or under half.

can't help ya on 1 and 6 - it's been a while...though my instinct would say d on 1.... projecting means certain things are aimed at....so would support a theory for answer d.I am confused with my psychology homework?
1 is b
I just finished a college level abnormal psych class, so I'll try to help...

1 - I'm not sure what a projective test is. We didn't cover testing methods, that comes in a later class for me.

2 - You have to keep in mind that psycho-analytical therapy takes years. It is a long term treatment method, so I would say (B).

3 - (B) The cause. Post traumatic stress disorder is caused by a traumatic experience. Acute stress disorder occurs either for no reason, or occurs with every experience a person has.

4 - (A) A fugue is when someone just takes off on a whim and changes thier identity and basically creates a new life for themselves. Normally, it is not maintained for a very long amount of time however. All memory is in tact.

5 - (A) Baby blues only last a week or so. Postpartum depression lasts for months. Baby blues are experienced by nearly 75% of new moms, Post partum depression occurs in about 25%.

6 - I can't remember what was significant to 2nd gen meds, sorry.I am confused with my psychology homework?
1 is B)

2 is almost certainly b

3 = One distinction that DSM-IV-TR makes between acute stress disorder and posttraumatic

stress disorder is based on:

i think it is A) not certain

4 = is D) no mental disorder.

5 = 16. A woman who has just given birth is anxious, has trouble sleeping, and feels sad. These symptoms diminish in the next couple of weeks. What she has experienced is most likely:

A) i think, could be B

6 =no idea
