What happens when someone wakes up from the dissociative fugue state?

I have been researching amnesia and the different forms of it. And while researching I found out about the dissociative fugue state. I learned that people affected by this have no memory of the past life and cannot even recognize family members. What I want to know what happens when a person wake up from this state? Do people remember anything that happened while they were in this state? Or is this is all a blur and they can't even remember not remembering? What happens when someone wakes up from the dissociative fugue state?
Dissociative fugue involves one or more episodes of sudden, unexpected, but purposeful travel from home during which people cannot remember some or all of their past life, including who they are (their identity). These episodes are called fugues.
